Will I have knowledge on Health and Safety Regulations after the course?

Upon qualification of the fundamental course you should have a good understanding of the laws
pertaining Licenses, Health and Safety regulations.

How do I obtain professional recognition?

You will be issued with a “ Cosmetic Tattoo Academy of Australia ” Certificate of Completion . Upon joining, our graduates are immediately eligible for Level 1 Standing with the APAA (Association of Professional Aestheticians of Australia). You can progress to Higher Levels of Industry Recognition once you have gained experience.

How do I obtain a Nationally Recognised Certificate in Cosmetic Tattooing?

Practical training must be completed with Ella Boffa Cosmetic Tattoo Academy Australia.
You must also complete 6 additional small theory units from the Beauty Therapy Training Package WRB04 and 1 small infection control unit from the Health Training Package HLT07 on top of your Cosmetic Tattoo Training to meet the co-requisite requirements.

These units must be completed through the Gold Coast Training Academy and can be completed by correspondence or via on campus study.

Upon completion of your Practical Cosmetic Tattoo training with Ella and competency achievements of the 6 units from the Beauty Package WRB04 through the CCTA, you will be issued with a “Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment”

Why is a Nationally Recognised Certificate so important?

A Nationally Recognised Certificate gives you the ability to obtain the highest levels of insurance to cover yourself when you begin operating. Nationally Recognised Training is also accepted and well known as being of the highest level of training because all Training Institutions issuing Nationally Recognised certificates and Qualifications must train to the standards set down in the relevant Government Training Packages. Also not all training providers can offer Nationally Recognised Certification on completion of training as they must be Government Accredited RTO’s who regularly undergo quality evaluations and audits to ensure their training complies with Government standards.

What if I have other qualifications that may be relevant to this training?

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR SKILLS

If you are currently a fully qualified Beauty Therapist or Registered Nurse working in your field then there is a high possibility that you can apply for exemption from one or more of the co-requisite subjects. This must be done through the Gold Coast Training Academy and a Skills Evaluation will take place to determine whether you can gain Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT) for some subjects.

Successful applicants of the Skills Evaluation Assessment will also receive a cost deduction equivalent to either half or full cost of the relevant unit/s.

How do I apply?

Upon receipt of the application form and your deposit, we will contact you and confirm your enrolment. After we have received full payment, we will forward your Theory Manual to you, so that you have ample time to browse through the manual and familiarize yourself with new phrases and basic concepts.

What is skin needling?

Skin needling is a technique designed to increase the skins own natural collagen formation.

What is camouflage?

This procedure is designed to camouflage scarring and pigmented areas. The pigments are matched to resemble the natural tones.

What is scar relaxation?

This is a dry needling technique that flatten or relaxe uneven scar tissue.

What is repigmentation?

Repigmentation is designed to insert skin colour back into an area that has lost its natural melanin.

What is the difference between eyebrow hairstrokes and eyebrow shading?

These are two completely different techniques. Eyebrow hairstrokes are strokes that resemble hairs, whilst Eyebrow shading is more of a defined result. Its dependant on the individuals preference although both techniques look great and are popular.

Will I receive support after I have finished the Fundamental course?
 

Yes. Ella provides on going support to all of her students. She makes herself available via email and on a 24 hour toll free number for any concerns.

Will I be taught how to do lash enhancement?

Yes! On the training day that offers eyeliner, you will have the opportunity to watch and complete an eyelash enhancement on your model.

What is a test patch?

A test patch is done prior to the procedure to assess the colour match, suitability and absorption of the pigment.

What is the difference between lipline and lipblend?

Lipline follows your own lipline. With a lip blend, we first follow your lipline, then blend the lipline partially into the lip.

Do I need to supply my own models?

Is you wish, you can supply your own models. However, if you are unable to do not wish to supply your own models, we will organise models for you at no additional cost. Please let us know as soon as possible whether you are supplying your own models so we can organise whichever models you require.
